Hi! I’m Beth Nielsen. I’ve been sewing and upcycling clothes since I was a kid. I have a Bachelor’s of Fine Art in Fashion Design, wrote a book of crochet patterns for women’s garments called Modern Bohemian Crochet (Interweave Press, 2017), then became an RN after a brief stint as a Music Director. But I’m back to doing what I love most—thrifting, sewing, and altering clothes in Oak Park, Illinois.

As a size 16 woman over 6 feet tall, my only choice at times has been to make something myself if I want it to fit. While brands have gotten better at size inclusivity, there’s a long, long way to go for many people to feel as comfortable and confident in their clothes as possible. I am here to do just that! It’s a true passion of mine to help you achieve a great fit to feel amazing in everything you wear. Because your body is not the problem. The clothes are the problem! I’m here to help.
